What Did God Say?
2 Samuel 6:1–11
In this powerful message, Dr. Tuesday Tate reminds us that good intentions are not a substitute for God’s instructions.
David wanted to bring the Ark of the Covenant back — a holy desire with national significance. But the problem was not the desire; it was the method. The Ark represented the presence of God, and God had already given clear instructions for how His presence was to be carried.
When Uzzah reached out to steady the Ark, it looked helpful, but it exposed a deeper issue: they were handling holy things without honoring holy instructions.
The question still speaks today:
What did God say?
Not what is convenient.
Not what is popular.
Not what seems practical.
Not what worked for somebody else.
But what did God say?
This message calls us back to reverence, obedience, alignment, and holy fear. God’s presence is a blessing, but it must never be handled casually.
Key takeaway:
When God gives instructions, obedience is not optional — it is worship.
