STREAMS FAMILY ZOOM MEETING

Streams Members,

It has been awhile seen we’ve looked at each other’s faces, hugged and smiled while being quarantined in our homes.

We’ve decided to setup a Zoom online meeting this Sunday, May 17th @ 4pm for all members of The Streams Church. Many of you are already familiar with Zoom as an educational tool for you or your children, or as a meeting tool used by your employers. We understand that some have not yet experienced this new form of communication, and we want to familiarize you with it before Sunday.

We found a brief instructional video for people joining a Zoom call for the first time. Click the button below and view the short 3 minute video. We encourage you to view the video well before our Zoom call Sunday @ 4pm. The “how to join” video is one that was created by another church, but will be helpful in getting you connected.

Pastor Carol and I are hopeful that you will join us on this brief call to give you a virtual hug! We’ve also included a little bible trivia fun and a chance to win a special face mask (see details below).

If we have your current email address, you will receive a Zoom notice with a link to join the meeting, otherwise, you can just click on the button below @ 4pm Sunday, and join us.

We decided to add a little fun to Sunday’s zoom meeting!

Members who complete a 10 question bible trivia can qualify to win a free face mask with the words of a chorus we often sing at The Streams (see sample).

Here’s how it will work:

  1. At the start of the meeting, Pastor Hill will update the following weblink: www.thestreams.org/bible to access the bible trivia quiz. Hint: You may want to have this website already loaded on your computer, laptop or tablet and prepare to refresh the screen when Pastor Hill instructs.

  2. Everyone will be given 5 minutes to access and complete the 10 question (multiple choice) quiz. If you don’t know the answer - take a wild guess.

  3. When you complete the quiz or when 5 minutes is up, press the “submit” button at the bottom of the quiz.

  4. Every submitted quiz will be timestamped. The first 2 members who answer 7 or more questions correctly within 5 minutes, will win a mask!

    The quiz will take place during the beginning of our Zoom call Sunday, so make sure you join on time.

    We will mail the masks to the two winners.
