WAKE UP WITH THE WORD GUEST HOST INSTRUCTIONS

You have been invited to host Wake Up With The Word podcast on behalf of Pastor A. Thomas Hill. The podcast is aired weekdays @ 7:15am-7:50am with a mixed audience joining from our daily audio Prayer Line, as well as YouTube and Facebook Live.

You will be hosting: Wednesday, September 4, 2024, 7:15am-7:50am EST.

Word for the Week: MORE. If you are hosting on a day other than Monday, we would suggest you listen to the previous day’s Wake Up Word with Pastor Hill by clicking here.

Pastor Hill will connect with you at 6:00am EST to ensure an adequate video and audio connection. A strong WIFI connection is necessary to avoid drop-outs. Click Here to connect @ 6am for testing. Click on “Manage your channels HERE” link atop the image. Then select “enter studio” for the podcast with the applicable date and time.

How to prepare:

1. Since you will be seen and heard, it is important that you be in a well-lit room, away from external noise and interruptions.  The area behind you should have minimal objects if possible (the less the better). Feel free to use a smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop computer with internet to connect.  If you’re using a smartphone, we prefer you position it in landscape mode (sideways) vs portrait mode to give a wide view. There should be more light in front of you than behind you.

2. It’s important that you connect promptly at 6:00am to assure a good connection, and adjust for good visual as well as audio.

Once you click the link (button above) you will be connected (no passcode required).  We will see you once you connect but you will be off-air until I bring you on.  Again, we will connect at 6:00am to make sure everything is good on your end (audio and video), to pray and brief for the topic. We’ll be ready to introduce you shortly after our opening at 7:15am.  Listen for your introduction and standby to go LIVE.

3. You will remain off-air while we open up the segment (but you will be able to see and hear me).  We will introduce you and then bring you on air to join us.  While off-air, you can send us a note in the chat box with questions.

4. In order for our audio Prayerline members (who will be listening and not watching) you will need to use your phone in addition to your tablet, laptop or desktop computer for the podcast. Here’s how to setup your phone for the prayerline listeners:

  • Dial (425) 725-5215 on your cell phone

  • Put your phone on handsfree speaker mode

  • Mute your phone until time to begin the podcast (otherwise there will be double talk once you begin the podcast online)

  • When it’s time for you to go live, unmute your phone and leave on speaker mode. Someone will automatically disconnect you from the prayerline at the end of the podcast.

NOTE: Your segment IS NOT a co-hosting format with Pastor Hill, rather, you will facilitate the entire podcast from beginning to end. A short intro will begin @ 7:15am, turning it over to you for the 45-minute podcast. Plan to close between 7:45 and 8pm.
