MOM CROWE UPDATES
Tuesday, October 8 (2:39pm)
just spoke with Gina and she advised that they transported mom to the assurance health hospital in Anderson for evaluation. Last evening she did calm down, slept through the night and willingly went with them to Anderson this morning. She’s not sure how long they intend to keep her and what the next steps will be
I inquired about the two staffers Who were struck and she said that both were OK and that they were used to similar outbursts with the patients. No one was hurt, but they were concerned about her hurting herself and knew it was time to get her reevaluated.
She also called mom’s neurologist and informed him about the incident, and of course he wasn’t aware but appreciated the call. He plans to contact the hospital to make sure they don’t prescribe the usual prescription for LB dementia which could trigger Parkinson’s. Gina was grateful that she reached out in time.
Continue to keep the prayers going and letting faith rise. God is still in control.

Gina informed me last evening that Mom Crowe hit two of the staffers at the facility yesterday. Earlier they discovered that a glass table in her room was broken. Mom Crowe shared with several of us Sunday a delusional story that there were some at the facility who were planning to beat her up. She repeated the story verbatim to several of us, which implies how real it was to her. I had her repeat “no weapon formed ….” several times Sunday morning and covered her mind. It is apparent that this disease has progressed to the point of potential harm to herself and/or to others (which, unfortunately, happened on yesterday). Gina and Bruce are working directly with the facility for the next steps. Due to the harm to the staffers, they have admitted her into the psychiatric ward for further evaluation.
I am grateful to each of you who have interceded on her behalf and have faithfully transported her to and from church. I encourage you to continue interceding - it’s spiritual warfare at its peak. Due to the direct hits against Gina (along with Jasmine and Madison), I’ve encouraged Gina to seek out a support group of other families who have or currently dealing with similar situations with their loved ones in this condition so as not to take it personally. Gina mentioned that one of the staffers mentioned to her that they have witnessed that women they have cared for in the past with this condition tend to target their daughters (females more so than males). We need to continue to keep Gina and the family in prayer during this season as we await God’s final hand in the matter at hand.
Until we hear differently, we will pause from picking her up for church and just remain in intercession. It’s important that we use wisdom through this process. It hurts my heart to even have to arrive at this place, but we must avoid adding any confusion to the situation and come alongside the family during this season. I will continue to remain in communication with Gina and Bruce and will keep you posted as I receive additional information. They will most likely restrict her phone use while they are evaluating, however, should you receive a call from Mom with requests, please advise me before moving forward.
Mom Crowe is a Streams Church jewel and we must protect and preserve those God has entrusted in our hands.
As you continue to intercede, we are open to receiving any prophetic directions the Holy Spirit may be speaking. Don’t hesitate to share with me as you hear. Proverbs 4:23 provides this wisdom, “Above all else, guard your heart [and mind], for everything you do flows from it.” While you’re standing guard over Mom’s mind, don’t forget to guard your own. We are not ignorant of satan’s schemes and devices. And while you’re guarding, stand on this assurance and confidence from the Word of God: “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:7).
The Lord started a “good work” in Mom Crowe, and He is still faithful to complete what He has started!
