COVID-19 STREAMS UPDATE

August 18, 2021

IN-PERSON SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE CANCELLED FOR AUGUST 22, 2021

COVID is still active and precautions are still in place to protect our family, friends and fellow church members.

Upon returning from our trip to Seymour this past Sunday, we were informed that someone in our company tested positive for COVID after receiving test results this past Monday. Members who were in close proximity were instructed to get tested to determine if there were any signs of potential-contagion.   I personally tested negative, but concerned of others who were a part of our group.

Due to the exposure, we have made a decision to err on the side of caution and cancel our Sunday “in-person” worship service this Sunday (August 22). We will, however, continue with our virtual livestream worship service. Our current plan is to resume our in person service the following Sunday, August 29, 2021. We will keep you posted should that date change.

With that being said, we will resume our safety protocols for in-person services; requiring masks, taking temps and disinfecting mics and other surfaces shared by multiple people during the service.

I cannot emphasize the importance of attenders getting the vaccine.  Pastor Carol and I both have been vaccinated, and have not regretted our decision to do so. While we understand the vaccine may not prevent a person from becoming infected, it does minimize the risk and symptoms in the event a vaccinated person should test positive.

Going forward, all individuals serving/volunteering in any capacity during in-person services and meetings will be required to be vaccinated. While we won’t require this of attenders in general, we’re strongly recommending the vaccine to further safeguard our fellowship.  If you have questions regarding this decision, please feel free to email me personally at: pastorhill@thestreams.org.

As believers, we refuse to embrace the “spirit of fear”, however, we must embrace the spirit of faith and wisdom.  Beware of conspiracy theories and social media unfounded opinions and rumors regarding the vaccine that have resulted in hurting families.

Thank you for understanding. Continue to cover the ministry and one another in prayer and keep connecting online with our weekly virtual services:

Thank you for understanding and adhering to our plan of action. We look forward to returning to our fellowship soon!
